TMA has helped organizations both for profit and not for profit organizations build more effective teams. To give their best every day, employees need to feel they have a stake in the company’s success. Employee engagement results in part from understanding the company’s direction and the significance of an employee’s role in helping the company reach its goals.  They need to be able to clearly define their own strengths and accomplishments and then match them to the needs of the company.  TMA can facilitate this process and help the company and individual staff member become clear on their purposes.

Based on research from Best Places to Work, we know that creating a supportive environment for employees has a significant benefit to the bottom line. What employees are looking for is an organization that is driven by values that support respect, credibility, fairness, camaraderie, pride, competence and builds a sense of trust with management. TMA can provide consulting and training programs to move your organization towards being a Best Places to Work.

The costs of unwanted turnover can be crippling to the bottom line of your organization. From the costs of recruitment and training to the loss of valued experience and the disruption to the organization, turnover needs to be managed and kept to a healthy minimum. There are a number of steps that should be taken to keep turnover at an acceptable level including creating a proactive work environment, creating alignment between organizational goals and your talent pool, making sure that your leadership supports your employers, having the right people in the right job and building cohesion in your work groups.

 Coaching and Mentoring Programs

TMA works with large and small companies to tailor coaching and coach training to meet the organization’s specific strategic initiatives. We have worked with executives through managers and supervisors to develop better skills in leading, managing, hiring, development, communication, conflict resolution, team building, delegating and termination.

Individual Coaching can focus on proactive development of high potential performers or concentrate on improving effectiveness of valued staff that are not living up to expectations.TMA seeks  to develop the best fit between their individual strengths and the options available to them. To do this we look at our clients’ life goals, behavioral preferences, motivators, family circumstances, education, work history, values, accomplishments, competencies and interests. We evaluate how the individual interacts with their management, peers and subordinates. We incorporate Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, concepts of positive psychology, emotional and social intelligence and cognitive behavioral change, to help each participant develop the skills needed to be successful. Each person develops an action plan and strategy to be successful.

Coach Development Training integrates coaching throughout organizations as a more effective way to manage and build a collaborative and productive culture. We have demonstrated the benefits of providing coaching to key persons in organizations over the past 20 years. Now organizations are discovering the value of a broader application. Corporate Coach Training within a company enables large numbers of supervisors, managers, and leaders to benefit from coaching. Gaining coaching competences within an organization enables a coach approach to managing. We can  train supervisors, managers and leaders in the philosophy of business coaching and teach them coaching skills that can be immediately applied in managing work relationships. We can provide workshops or work one to one.

TMA’s Team Building Programs improve the strength and effectiveness of the team. In a workshop setting, the team engages in open and honest discussions of their specific team challenges, and participants come away with a common set of goals and clearly defined roles designed to optimize team cohesiveness. By minimizing sources of conflict and improving trust, accountability, and communication, the overall performance of the team accelerates. We use a variety of assessment instruments to provide objective feedback regarding team members strengths, weaknesses, values,  communication patterns, assumptions about the workplace and personality styles.
