Thank you so much for all of your help over the months we have worked together. I am so grateful for all your support and I look forward to our work together in the future as I embark on my new career! What a journey! All the Best, Zach

Larry, I would like to thank you very much for ALL of your help with me getting back in the workforce.. I am very grateful for all of your expertise as I couldn’t have done it without you. I now have a job and love what I do. Thank you so, very, very much, Carla

Our team building session with TMA helped us recognize our common purpose as well as our differences and strengths. By understanding and using the skills, talents, and behaviors of each one of our staff, we have become much more effective and could make better decisions on who could move into management/leadership roles.

Over the years Larry, President of Transition Management Associates,  has been very effective in helping me on both a personal and professional level. Professionally he has helped me hire the right people, rethink business strategies and has always been there to share ideas. On a personal level he has become a good friend and has helped me and family members stay on track or sometimes get back on it. I can’t say enough about him and the services he offers.

Mr. Larry Finkelstein was invited to speak at Mercer County Community College on the topic of mentoring for our local American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC). The association was piloting a peer to peer mentoring program, “Equip Women for Growth”, that I created for my colleagues. Mr. Finkelstein engaged the group with his in-depth knowledge on mentoring and coaching in the work place. He provided concrete examples outlining how a mentor can assist a mentee to grow, thrive, and be successful in the work place. His training instilled confidence amongst the mentors which in turn benefited the mentees. I endorse Mr. Finkelstein’s expertise.

I cannot give enough praise for Larry Finkelstein. Larry’s coaching and expertise make him an asset for anyone planning their next steps. He is also someone you want on your side during any negotiation. To this day, I often think to myself, “What would Larry say in this situation?” That is a true sign of an effective mentor and coach.

We are big fans of Larry Finkelstein, President of Transition Management Associates, and value his input from the Caliper tests of our employees. We tested all of the employees in the office just to check to see if we had them in the jobs that they were well suited for. There were no surprises from the test results but it was still good to get a second opinion.
The test results and Larry’s valuable interpretation of those results we spot on accurate in each case. Larry’s insight has been valuable in guiding us in who to assign to what tasks in order to maximize our employees talents and strengths. We use Larry for all new hires, both to avoid a bad fit of personal traits to the job and to help us make the best fit of a job to a person’s natural personality traits.  I recommend Larry’s services to anyone interested in gaining insight into what kinds of jobs a person is well suited to perform.

Make a move or not and what move to make and where ? You start with these questions and perhaps some anxiety. You reach a low place in your career. Frustrated and hopeless I didn’t see my options. Talent development ? you have to believe that the person has talent and abilities. That’s Larry’s special talent. He sees you before you see yourself.
By working through specific exercises (heavy on the work of Stephen Covey) you find your better self and re-connect with your purpose. Along with his industry knowledge, which is substantial, he gets you to reframe the way you think and that is everything. After my experience with him I feel ready for the next chapter in my life and have the energy and attitude to try new challenges. Much gratitude Larry.

Last year I left a position of 13 years. The company hadn’t given a raise in eight years. I left to work for a startup company. Larry helped me negotiate my salary and benefits.Without his negotiating assistance, I would have asked for much less. When the salary was offered he advised asking for more. I did and they agreed. I had been getting three weeks vacation which took 7 years to earn and assumed I would lose with the switch. He told me to ask for it and I was able to get it. This would not have happened without his advise. He is the person to have in your corner!

If you are a “to do” list fanatic (as I am) you will benefit from the format, exercises and prescriptions contained in this book. The book is divided into 4 chapters: prepare, evaluate, plan and implement. Although all of them guide you sequentially through a job search, my personal favorite is the evaluate chapter.  Here the author’s unique skills shine as he helps you identify your strengths, accomplishments and your values. Having consulted with Talent Management departments in the hiring process, the author has unique insight into what employers want. I highly recommend this book.  (Individual client)
